You write the word RECESS on the board, and begin to delete letters. The class as a whole warrants the erasure of a letter. Individual behaviors loss 5 minutes of recess for each occurrence.

Sounds good. Well, we were late to RECESS because lunch room was late in lining them up. In fact, I lined them up to take them outside. We came in after 5 minutes. It was too HOT!! Promised them indoor recess; however, the constant redirection of behavior caused further delay and by the time we reached the class, recess was over.
